iPhone 14 Pro: the GPU at the top of the flagship iPhone
Let’s take a look: the A16 Bionic was introduced about a month ago, during the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro keynote. During the ‘Far Out’ event, the company didn’t focus much on the platform details but now, thanks to user reviewer Gold, let’s find out how powerful the flagship really is. In the first case, it appears to perform as well as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. However, the tests obtained showed a score of 3,359 points in 3D Mark’s Wildlife Extreme while on the energy efficiency front, the score was 444.1 lower than that of MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000. It has been found to be more efficient than its Qualcomm counterpart.
Moreover, compared to the current Apple Bionic A15, the processor was 5% more powerful and 20% more efficient. From benchmark tests, it’s clear that it’s much more powerful on the GPU side. Benchmarks also showed a significant improvement in the efficiency of the new A16 chip over the A15 chip.
